- What happens to my project when Ranch Manager moves to the annual license?
- If you currently have an active Flex License, then nothing. However, that license will need to be renewed annually. If you do NOT currently have a flex license, then Ranch Manager will not load which means you will not be able to retrieve your data.
- What if I do not want to continue with Ranch Manager?
- If you do not wish to continue with Ranch Manager then make sure you export your data to excel or another format so you can keep access to it.
- I have an active RM Cloud License, am I going to lose it?
- No, If you currently have an active RM Cloud License you may continue to use it as long as you DO NOT UPGRADE to the newest version.
- So as long as I don’t upgrade I can keep using RM for free?
- Yes and No, The current version of Ranch Manager is being deprecated. In otherwards it will not receive any future updates, bug fixes, or support. So at which time Microsoft or Apple release an update that breaks the software, there is nothing that we can do to retrieve your data.
- So should I expect consistent updates in the future if I upgrade?
- Yes, The reason we are moving to this new license system is to enable us to continue active development of Ranch Manager. We have big plans for the future but unfortunately Ranch Manager is expensive to maintain.
- When will the new version come out?
- We are expecting Ranch Manager v3.0.1 to release by the end of January.
- Can I purchase my License Now?
- Absolutely You can! Simply use the Contribute Page on RanchManagerOpen.com to purchase.
- What happens if I bought a flex license in 2021 for $50?
- Nothing, your license will remain active until its expiration date (1 year from the date of purchase) at which time you will need to renew at the new price.
